SAP process and data optimisation with ProNovia

Task

In order to increase efficiency and security in product lifecycle management, R&M commissioned ProNovia to gradually introduce ProPLM across the entire corporate network. This SAP total solution serves the optimisation of all processes around the product lifecycle.

The aim of the introduction was to improve data quality and to map clear product states over the product lifecycle and thus achieve improved process handling. At the same time, the requirement was to reduce the effort for data maintenance through improved input forms and rule based creation, changes and approvals of master data.

Procedure

Mit dem Rollout im Produktionswerk am Standort in Bulgarien wurden die SAP Produkte ProPLMClient, ProMaterialData und und ProObjectLifecycle als Basis für die zukünftigen Rollouts implementiert. Die Gründe für den Entscheid lagen darin, dass die Produkte bewährt, effizient, skalierbar, sicher und sehr gut dokumentiert sind. Im Anschluss wurde die Lösung auf weitere Standorte angewendet. In einem späteren Schritt wurde die Lösung mit dem Configuration Management von ProNovia erweitert, was den Einsatz des SAP Produktes ProConfiguration in der Schweiz, in Polen und in Bulgarien zur Folge hatte. Die Gesamtlösung wird nun auch in Dubai sowie in den USA eingesetzt. Mit der globalen Einführung von ProFramework verfügt die Lösung nun über eine moderne SAP UI Architektur, was zu einer höheren Effizienz und Benutzerfreundlichkeit führt.
