The company, whose history dates back to 1968, operates in an environment of strong growth: The demand for medical and pharmaceutical facilities and services is constantly increasing. Belimed’s customers include global pharmaceutical manufacturers as well as regional hospitals and large medical practices.

In addition to machines from the standard range, Belimed also implements large-scale customer-specific systems that open up great potential for increasing the efficiency of cleaning processes. Belimed employs a total of around 1200 people in ten countries. The company also has a network of its own sales companies, through which it is represented as an authorised business partner in over 80 countries.

Task

The successfully realized project included these goals:

Gradual implementation of a new central company-wide SAP ERP system under ECC6.0
Replacement of two existing SAP systems and non-SAP systems
Data harmonization and uniform master data processes
Increased efficiency in the creation and modification of material master data and parts lists
Definition of the data owner (global / local)
Efficient transfer of engineering master data to logistics

Procedure

Phase 1: Establishment of a new central SAP ERP system in Sulgen, CH, Germany and Slovenia with definition of standardized master data processes, master data synchronization to existing SAP systems and implementation of ProMaterialData with the integration of ProConfiguration
Phase 2: Rollout for the location Germany and Belimed Life Science
Phase 3: Integration of the engineering data and functions for synchronizing the engineering product structure with the production BOM
Phase 4: Rollout to the remaining companies USA, UK, France, Benelux and Austria
